any way to the point i have noticed that there is no pics of the trans pull apart or put back so i belive i am gona do that on this post i am not a top fixer but hey you have to learn some where if there is a post some where i have not found on here about this info. so i am gona be pulling it out in the morning i have a good camera so i can take good pics of the damaged that was done . the reason i am doing this is my driver 4x4 is down also getting engine and clutch done i might as well pull the trans also. the busted one would be a good way for me to see how this is pulled apart peace by peace and then ill reassemble it in my good case the trans in my driver truck keeps poping out of 4th, and i am one that rest my hand when in 4th gear on the stick bad habit, if any one has done this please tell me where its at in forums

Nice trucks also looks like you stole my roll bar lol.
Since your pulling your trans anyway you might want to think about a Trooper 5spd. 86-87 .

i have one for parts that i got for the front diesel housing, and diesel engine.
will see if i can put up some photos.
i took all of the housing off to take the necessary diesel parts off.
the gear set is in tacked as it should be with no housing on it.
looks like any MSG 4 speed sold from 1979 to 1985

it had gear oil in it, so sadly its a parts trans :(

over on isuzupup site i have a TON of photos of the 5sp model of the same trans.
other than miner gearing changes, to 1st, 2nd and 3rd and the expanded housing area for 5th gear its the same trans,
unless it has a 4 bolt front bearing retainer.
all 5sp transes have a 6 bolt, 4 sp came with 4 or 6 bolts.

its a long thread, but good info.

if your in need of a trans (and your local to OR state) PM me.
i know where there is one for sale.

also if you need a bearing kit, i have a source for that as well.
