This is what i have found so far!

They even make a 4 wheeler mud tire in a 14 inch rim that should fit on the luv truck rim......and those things will rip through some mud a kid had them on his 4 seater mud buggy....which had a 2200cc bugy motor in it 4 wheel drive 5 speed with a keg as a gas tank.... lmao....so that should weigh about same as a luv.....

been through tons of different tires if you go with serious mud tires forget about going down the road at speeds above 60...if you are going to drive it stay moderate get some KM2s or nitto Mud grapplers....IMO

The series 9 & 10 4X torsion bars are different from the series 11 & 12. 9 & 10 part number 94026635 and R.H. 94026634. Series 11 & 12 is L.H. 94224850 and R.H. 94224849.

The Offy intakes are sold by a member here, wou wont find them elsewere.

Be carefull on posting parts that wont work (IE 4X torsion bars) here as many come here to get info, we do not want to be giving out the wrong info.

they are torsion bars for an 81 or 82 luv so they will work for a luv just not every luv?

Doubt it too. It says 89-95. There's obviously something that changed from the early pups to the 89-95 models.

yes ""major"" change in 88
87 was the last pup year.

87 was the last front 8 bolt axle year,
all Isuzu's 88 up are a 10 bolt on the front, and all 4x4s are a 2.6L or bigger engine, thus the end of the 8 bolt years.

all 4X4 LUVs 79/82, pups 81/87, and troopers 84/86 are the same 8 bolt front axle.
and is interchangeable with all of them.

87 troopers have the 8 bolt but with the newer spline count at the wheel hub, its a strange trop year.

the twins, 81 pup and 81 LUV both are diesel 2.2

86/87 are the only years that a 5 speed 4X4 with a cable clutch was sold from isuzu.
its found in 4X4 pups and troopers in 86/87
its just a added 14.5% O\D
1st thru 4th are the same gearing, or "very" close to the same.

its about 5" longer than the 4 speed so the T-case shifter moves back about 5"
and the low range gearing is the same.
your yoke will fit right in it after shortening the drive line, or finding one that fits.

if you want strong for hard core off road, you need to go modern.
the 88 up isuzu 4X4 trans its HELL for stout.
but is bigger and is a HYD clutch, so much more modding is needed
as well as it needs to be from a I-4 2.6L not a V-6

as far as a LSD for the 10 bolt rear  have you been a good little boy :ebiggrin
its only found in Isuzu impulse cars for two years 87/88 or maybe 88/89 that have the turbo package
needle in the hay stack, on that one :!: :!:

and the 8 front axil, there ant squat in terms of a LSD.

this is what i found about an arb locker for a 10 bolt rear.....

General Applications Across Models and Years
The following options in this section represent my best guess at simplifying the differentials assembled in Isuzu light trucks that were sold in America: Trooper, Amigo, Rodeo, and P'up. This extends to other makes that were essentially rebadged Isuzus: the Chevy Luv was a P'up, the Honda Passport was a Rodeo, and the Acura SLX was a Trooper. I don't have data for the foreign trucks (Vauxhall, Holden, etc.) but I imagine much of the info is the same, especially if the truck in question was assembled in Japan.

8-bolt corporate differential (??-spline axles)
Front differential on pre-2/88 Troopers and Luvs
10-bolt corporate differential (17- spline axles)
Front differential on all late model trucks (American AND Japanese-assembled trucks)
Rear differential on pre-2/88 Troopers and Luvs
Rear differential on certain late model trucks with rear drum brakes.
12-bolt corporate differential (26-spline axles)
Rear differential on any Japanese-assembled truck with disk brakes
Dana 44
Rear differential on any America-assembled truck

Something tells me they are refering to the other 10 bolt, like in 1/2 ton full size trucks.
