Cool idea. How well will the wheel wells match up to the wheel base? Or what are your ideas to make it match?

The wheel base was only 1" off of what the luv was, the frame was only a 1/2" off of what the luv was, the only proble I've ran into is moving all the mounts because its nothing like the luv, I really see wy people put them on S10's or toyato frames there straight, when the ranger is nothing like that. But my luv cab did match up pretty good its just has a 10in body lift. lol but its just the way it fit on the frame. the ranger is longer to, but ive cut the frame up so it wasnt a problem, Its COMIN ALONG SWEET THO!!! Gona be one bad ass little rig!!!

Well Work as been Slow, Mounted the brake booter, Ford petals, im using all ford, Ford clutch slave Cyl, Ford brakes, ford steering cal, Ill change out the steering wheel, so i dont have the ford one in it. Haha had to cut the Fire wall up, and the inner fender to get everything to fit. Haha Its alot of work and fabing but its fun and ive done just about everythin myself, I love the look of the luv on the ranger frame. I really kinda do wish i could of found a s10 frame but, you get what you get. and Its Coming along great! everything hasnt been to hard but its had it fair share of headaches. Haha Cant Wait for it to be done, The luv will get new color and a flat bed in a few months! tired of lookin at it! haha :) lol

So... Why'd you swap it onto the ranger frame? I'm hoping the reason is the LUV frame was all rusted out, because if rust wasn't the issue, the fully boxed LUV frame is a hell of a lot stronger than the ranger's c-frame...

I'm not hatin on the build, just curious as to why...

I did it because, i really wanted it taller, and the little 1.8,and the clutch were about shot and i really didnt want to rebuild it, it was cheaper to do this. I get a better running gear, that is way more common, and you can find parts. Its really hard to find parts for them this far north. Im up here in north idaho. an I feel the ranger frame was better, i got the ranger for 300, and it ran great! An now i can fit 33's no problem and even bigger, and i got more power out of it. An biggest i wanted to build somthin different and i hadnt seen one on a ranger frame, haha :D 8)

Howdy (love4theluv)
Ive just got the front 2 fenders primered last week, im workin on the door right now. My water pump went out in my car, so ive had to scramble my way to School every day. lol rockin the mini van. lol I hate it! I bot a 92 ford explorer a few weeks back from the body shop, state cops hauled it in and the guy didnt pay the tow bill, its got 75% tred on the 31s and nice rims, and the axels will go under my luv some day. Its a dana 35 for the front and its a ford 8.8 which is like almost a dana 44, for the rear. the front is a bolt in swap and the rear takes a little work. I had to rip the motor an trans out motor for my brothers bronco ii and the trans is getting sold and the rest of the explorer is getting scraped out, it sucks not bein able to work on my luv only! lol Id luv to put the 4.0 from the explorer in my luv! but haha lots more work! i wanta get the paint and it runnin before i go an mess with a motor. Its comin along slowy. :(
