Ok i am new to the luvs but not new to chevy my uncle had a luv with a 350 in it but thats about all i seen with the luv.

i have owned several camaro but i am done with speeding tickets i am more into off roading now alot of my buddys got full size 4x4 trucks but they are not lifted sooo me being not spoiled like them i bought the 1st 4x4 i could find with was a 1980 chevy luv 4x4 that sat for 8-10 years.....for $200 sooooo i need help after looking on this forum i found they make no lift kits....and not many performance parts....

so what should i do to get the most lift and the most performance out of my truck without swaping axles or swaping engines i want to keep it a luv just add stuff to the stock luv.

also is it possible to bore my motor and put performance cam, head, piston? just a question. thats all i can remeber to ask right now.

Lifting: Body lift, Trooper Upper Control Arms and Ball Joints, cranking the torsion bars, and doing a spring over in the back are about your only options.

Engine: Weber carb, new cam, header, offy intake.

Welcome.

Mokadeth has the offy intakes, carbs you can get off ebay (Weber 32/36), and the cam... I haven't a clue.

84-86 early Trooper control arms are what you are looking for and they wont lift your truck but are the answer to ball joint angle when lifting also you can get spacers to make them even better when doing the ball joint switch from on top to under the control arm. I have some pic's that i will post of the parts for you.

I'd like to get $75 for both arms and ball joints. I got three inches with the arms and ball joints. (measured before and after; I waited a day and drove it to measure the after to let it settle properly).

In this I respectfully disagree. The angle on the upper control arms will get you at least an inch, and the flipped ball joint puts a lot more space between the frame and the knuckle.

Direct bolt on. The longest part of the swap is getting the old ball joint off .

Yea, probably shackles, or get your springs re-arched. Or do what I did and do a spring-over on the back, but that'll make the ass end stick wayyyy up.

$85 shipped sounds good to me.
