Ok so i have exausted all of the local parts stores and they are getting to know me as the "LUV dude". I recently bought a 1979 4x4 luv and tried to drive it home and was half way home and the brakes locked up. So i drug it home and started to trear it appart and the calipers were hammered so i went to the local parts house and rounded up some goodies and came home and started replacing them. The drivers side caliper was a misboxed item took it back got a new put it on works great. Now the trouble the passenger side caliper is the same casting as the driver except its for the passenger marked "B" but the alingment pin for the break line will not go in and alow me the put the bolt into the cliper to hold the brake line into place. When i pulled the old one off i had noticed that someone had drilled out this hole but i am tring not to "farmer Jon" this truck so i am trying to avoid this option and use it as a last resort. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the wrong hose.
If it had been mickey moused before, and you now have the correct caliper, then maybe the hose is wrong. New hoses and calipers are both still available for these trucks at the parts stores.

The calipers and brake lines are left and right orientated, they should be a mirror image of each other.
If you have any parts that are identical you are going to have fitment problems.
Hope this helps, i can post up pics if need be.

It does have a license plate so technically it is a street truck, that sets off car alarms and makes kids cry. lol
