i'm trying to find a set of cv shafts for my datsun 4wd and am having the worst time finding them. the best i've come up with is pulling them and sending them to cardone through kragen for a whopping 175 each. seeing as i need my 4wd here on a weekly basis i can't do this.

i did an online search for the luv cv's and came up with the same results..... nothing. What gives?

Well they are 30+ year old trucks and very few left still running, so it isnt financialy feasable for anybody to produce parts for our trucks for such a low demand. Sucks, but that is the reality. Gotta grab what you need when you do happen to find it.

ps your sig rocks!!!!! :smt044

Try these guys. I saw a cv shaft on the 720 page, if you have a 720 truck.

Well, these look just about right. I'm not exactly sure. I know these trucks are ancient history, but shoot, replacement parts aren't that difficult to find. If y'all are very worried, I'm reasonably u-joints could fit up there. I saw a VW bug with that modification, and it looked like it was a little tougher also. I'll look into the u-joint option, as the half-shafts are wearing out in my truck.

i think there the same part as the 81/87 4X4 pup, 84/86 trooper CVs
the manual hubs from a LUV fit right on the 81/87 pups and 84/86 troopers.
what im thinking is try looking for the same part for a diffrent ride, if its the same :?:

((edit))
