when tightening the torsion bars to lift the truck... is there anything special I have to do... what about the rubber pieces that are on them... can I remove them for a bigger lift?

Spray the bolts a few days before with penetrant, do not remove the bump stops fully just cut them down shorter.

make sure you jack the front tires nearly off the ground, support the truck SAFELY, soak, soak, soak, them bad boys, dont break an adjuster bolt like I did just last week!, grab a breaker bar, put on your game face...

what way am I gonna turn them... I'm trying to lift so will I tighten or loosen?

Tighten to lift, rule of thumb is 1 complete turn = 1/4" lift. Mark the nut before you start so you can keep track of how much you turn them. The nut is 27mm or 1 1/16". Drive it around some- they settle sometimes- readjust as necessary. Plan on an alignment after lifting.

Righty Raise, Lefty Lower or in other words Clockwise raise, counter clockwise lower.

Make sure you put something solid under the frame of the truck near the front while you are doing this though. If the adjuster bolt breaks off while you are turning it, the truck will slam down and you don't want to be caught under it. You want something under there besides you to catch the truck if it decides to become a lowrider.
