Fitted a steering dampner to my 80 4x4 Luv today.
Heres a pic of the Troop vs Luv idler arm, the Troop arm on the right is identical to the Luvs except it has the mount for the dampner.
You also need the Trooper centre steer rod , its identical to the Luvs except it has the dampner mount. Troop rod is the bottom one of the two.
Heres a pic of the dampner.
Installation is easy, just swap out the Luv parts for the Troop parts. Heres some pics of the finished product.
