I have a 1980 4x4 and the front drive shaft is worn out. Will one out of a 81 luv work and will one out of a trooper work, if so what year or years of troopers will work?

If you're talking bout the shaft from the transfer case to diff, the 81 luv will fit. Not sure if a Trooper shaft will fit, the Troop,s wheelbase might be longer.

If the trooper has a 4speed it would work. The output on the 5speeds transfer case is a larger diameter than the 4 speed. So stick with 4 speed Isuzu 4x4s, wich basicly means LUVs...
