Anyone have any insight on replacing/ rebuilding CV axles on a '79. I have found replacements that can be ordered online for about $75, with a hellacious $90 core charge if I don't crate mine up and send in.

Looking for any ways to keep the cost low and get a reliable product.

Thanks

I would think Napa or any parts store would have them.

i bought a set of axles from Napa, so they stock em. But if possible i would bring your old ones in when you buy the new ones. As i recall they had a huge core charge at Napa also...

Also you can make sure you are getting the same thing.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

But thats if you want to keep it stock. I would just forget all of that and would just do a spring conversion and throw toyota or one tons underneath it.
