While cranking my TB's the passenger side adjuster snapped and fell to the ground in two pieces, as I feared, lowering the truck, that side will fall all the way down as well. Where can I get this part and how do I go about fixing it. Thanks for any responses in advance, Ill be searching in the meantime.

Ofcourse not, its never that easy...I replaced the bolt but no matter how much I crank it down it wont hold that side up even as high as it was stock, what am I missing? Did the TB get thrown out of whack when it was lowered all the way down? THats my guess but Im not sure how to go about fixing it.

its been awhile since i tore my ifs out but i'll try to help. what part fell the cylinder that the adjusting bolt threads into or the arm that is connected to the bar w/ splines. either way your best bet is to get what you broke from a wrecking yard. if you can take a pic and post it everyone would know exactly what broke.

the bolt snapped in half, its the one that moves the cylindrical nut up and down, which raises or lowers the arm that slides onto the splines of the TB. so since that arm didnt come off, I figured I be ok with just grabbing a new bolt and cranking it back down. But now it wont even hold stock height on that side and I can't see why. Thanks for the input man!

Thanks for the link, but I had already seen that article, thats what got me started today! Ha I cranked up the drivers side, it was all good. Started cranking the pass. side and snap! bolt broke in half and fell out. I lowered the truck slowly and noticed the truck sinking down way to far on that side. so i jacked it up again.

I went to the store, grabbed some new bolts and threaded back into the adjustment cylinder. cranked it down tight as I could and it wont even hold the passenger side as high as stock. SO im trying to figure out what happened. :?:

Look closely at the last paragraph where it tells you how to reindex the bars. You lost the tension when the bolt broke. When you retension it, you should be good...
