where can i find a set of 8'' toyota axles? I want to do a SAS project someday! lol

Check your local Craig's list and check out your local salvage yards (don't know how far away from CO you are but there are a couple yards there that are Toyota specific) other than that ask around the local 4x4 shops and if the area you live in has a Thrifty Nickel or something similar you'll want to check that out as well..and then there is always Car-parts.com.

personally i would only worry about a Toyota front. The optimum rear axle for these trucks would e an Isuzu 12bolt. They are under Troopers with rear disc brakes. It will be a bolt in and miles better than a Toy axle...

I just got a set of axle's from a 79 toyo and am looking for info on installing them (with the toyo springs) under my 1979 LUV 4X4, anyone have any thoughts or info?

i dont know, that last SAS i did we just kinda did it. Just started cutting and welding... :lol:

i'll see if i can find some info for ya on some kits/ brackets, i knoe there are some SIMPLE designs that work VERY well :wink:

heck if i had the space/time/right price i could do it for ya :P

I'm in sultan, out on hwy 2 towards stevens pass 8) close to PLENTY of wheeling :twisted:

Well maybe once I get my Axle's in I'll have to get hold of you and see how well the conversion goes, there ain't anywhere around here that is legal anymore. I have a good idea of my limits stock with 30" Wildcat's.

you'd be able to go where i go, but there are prolly a few places you wouldnt be able to go with just 30" EXTs trust me i tried :lol: but everyone starts somewhere and like i said, there is plenty to do where i wheel that's 31" and under acommidating 8)
