I am in the process of finding a 75 or older luv 4x4 and i was wondering if someone can tell me:

what front axle to use for a straight axle conversion, and what leaf springs and if theyre yota springs where can i find a nice new pair for front and rear?...

my plan for now is to get one straight axle it with leafs and i have a set of Knight Stalker shocks i want to put in each corner for a nice weekend beater/street truck

for you that dont know what knight stalkers are...heres a link

I can tell you right now to stop looking for a 75 4X4 LUV, you will not find one ever (factory that is). I think they started the 4X4 in 79 or 80.

Luv's came with 4x4 starting in 79 from the factory (although there are a few older ones that were modified to 4x4 by an after market company before thery got sold) if your doing a SAS, there are two standards pretty much for the Isuzu crowd (Luv was made by Isuzu so thats how it applies) but the 2 most common swaps are Toyota Mini front end, and a Waganeer D44 (6 lugs, right width, and the diff is on the passenger side)

for more info on SAS stuff check out this site http://www.4x4wire.com
do a search in the Isuzu Talk section, thats where your going to find most of the useful info there.

hope that helps ya
