I wanted to bring this back up! My dad is still around but hasn't been driving for several years. All the prayers and well wishes you guys sent must have worked at least a little! He can hardly even get out of a chair and he pretty much never goes outside. The LUV hasn't been driven in almost two years and has only gotten about 100 miles of use since we finished it. It has just sat in his garage. :( Wednesday of this week he told me it was mine now and to take it home and get it going again...I was nearly at a loss for words!

I've got to get a new battery, probably new tires, find out where all the brake fluid went, and maybe do something about a 5 speed swap if I can figure out what swaps in. I want to be able to drive it on the highway to work every now and then.

Chuck.

It's with great regret I have to pass on the news that my dad passed away this past Sunday morning. He was a great man with many friends and touched many lives! He will be missed by many! His LUV will live on though! I do not drive it much for fear something bad might happen!

Sorry to hear about your father. Make him proud and drive the truck when you can. That truck is clean, every time you get a complement you know your dad earned it.

Hate to hear of your father passing. I am glad you got it finished so he could enjoy it!

So sorry for your loss. My Dad's '56 F-100 becomes mine when he goes, and as much as I want that truck....I really don't want it due to the price I have to pay for it.

Thanks all for the sympathies! I will drive the LUV it will just take time. I still miss the times we had together in the shop working on stuff or just sitting there talking. He taught me so much that he never even knew he was teaching me!
