it depends too if you;re getting TRUE 31" tall tires, i have seen some (and had some) that measured to about 28.5" and there are some brands out there that measure a bit taller (super swampers) there's give and takes to this business
-big tires, less power, need for regearging/clearancing. better approach angle
-smaller tires, better power, less need for regearing/clearancing. worse approach angle.
You have to decide what you really want, if it's big tires or go with smaller tires and be able to handle them.
Are you pretty new to wheeling? What are you planning on doing with the truck? Daily Driving and wheeling? or soul wheeler? that will help in your decision for tires and size.
