I know a lot of yall are runnin 235 and 215 size tires, what kind of MPG are you getting with them, and how much MPG loss would I suffer from a 27" tire on a 14" rim to a 235 on a 15" rim. Thanks for the help. right now I get bout 22mpg

i don't think you'd realyl notice it as much as you think, with that small of a difference if at all any, i could see if you were going from a 235 to a 31, THAT would make a difference, but since (as i recall my metric system, and also dependent upon the series of tire, 65, 75 or 85 etc.) it's actually going to be about the same size tire if not a bit smaller. so if you went with a smaller tire you'd get a little better acceleration, and less overall top speed, but with that it's also less effort to turn that size tire, so in theory you'd be using less gas and therefore get better gas mileage 8)....
but depending on the series of tire you get, it could be a larger tire, which in this case you'd be having to put forth more effort to turn them, using more gas than before causing a loss in gas mileage. but like i said with that close of a change you shouldn't notice much of a difference

I did not really see much difference in mileage between 205-75 14" tires and 235-75 15" tires, well other than I had to figure out the right math to use to compute my miles. If I recall, it was around 11.5 miles traveled to each 10 miles the odometer read. I was reading roughly 50MPH on the speedo when going 55.

Larger tires means more weight of wheel/tire to turn and more wind resistance, but it also means less tire revs to go the same distance. In this case, it seems to balance out. Just remember you need to figure out how far off your speedo and odometer are before you start trying to figure out your mileage.
