would a 94 rodeo rearend work in my 79 4x4. it says it has 4.10 gears and when i turn one hub the other turns the same direction limited slip :lol: . oh and it has disk brakes but the spliter is on the other side of the pumpkin but i think i can move the line on the frame to the other side (relocate the bracket).
any tips and or help would be great sorry for the long post but i think alot at the shop.

any reason you can't flip the whole brake assembly around? the isuzu rodeo has a dana 44 rear in it as i recall... you would definitly be gaining a TON of options for upgrade, plus the disc brakes can't hurt. I think you might have to upgrade you brake system though if you do put it in...

flip the brake assy? i could just bolt the rear axle in my truck but i don't know about the[color=#BF0000] pis dia. and the spacing of the pads[color=#BF0000]. could i just bolt the axle under there if the pads were still like .5 to 1 inch wider or narrower?[color=#BF0000]

What i mean is, could you take just the brake lines, and flip them around, so that the splitter is on the correct side? Or is there any reason that wouldn't work? I know my splitter on my ford 9" rear is connected to the diff breather, making it SLIGHTLY more difficult, but not really :lol: sorry i wasn't more specific.

I would use the pads and rotors that came on the rodeo, and if possible take the brakelines that are connected to it and flip them around like mentioned above to fit your brakeline coming down from the frame. Know what i mean?
