thanks, yeah i would do that but i would get a new bed or weld up the rust holes. My bed has bondo where the bed floor meets the sides(where all luvs rust) and it looks like poo. in the future sometime ill do that, then give a good paint job. right now have one color instead of 17 is my short term goal.

I shot mine with Rustoleum and you really can't tell. Once it's all done and buffed out it looks great!

I was just too lazy to do the roller method...lol...and since I have a good compressor and Harbor Freight has cheap spray guns, I decided to do it that way.

The light blue/silver color is from mixing their "aluminum" color paint with blue and white in 3 equal parts. I lost a little bit of high gloss on the finish when I added the "aluminum" color - but that was what I wanted anyway.

But you could do that with any color if blue isn't your thing. I just used blue because all of my interior stuff was already blue.

It tends to keep me busy and out of mischief which makes the wifey happy. But it's still a work in progress.

And she's finally stopped calling it "that damn money pit in the driveway"...lol

Good lookin truck! A Crappy "New" paint job is better than a Crappy "Old" paint job any day!

Nothing wrong with a 50-50 paint job (50 feet away, at 50 miles an hour, looks pretty damn good!)

I'm new to this site. Are you looking for more parts? I'm here in Sequim and I have a rebuildable engine including the head, both manifolds, the carb, dist, and reman starter. I also have the hood and fenders. 11/28/07

Hey, I got the Uniroyal Liberator's off the Walmart website and had them shipped to the local store. They were $280 plus about $10 each for mounting, stems, and disposal of the old tires. I put on 235/75/15's and the rub only under heavy breaking. The Goodyear Wranger is $65 each and have a more aggressive off-road tread. Probably a better tire for the NW mud. I prefer the Liberator's tread for getting round the town and some light off roading in the desert trails.

On a side note, I installed the KYB GR2 shocks up front. A great shock for driving around the town, but not stiff enough for running the trails.
