The #3 connector on my truck is getting hot enough to melt the connector at the back of the key switch. I think I've traced the problem to the #5 fuse, which controls the coil, fuel pump, some crazy ignition coil relay, and the regulator. I've recently replaced the regulator, so I'm reasonably sure that it isn't the problem. The fuel pump still works, so that shouldn't be the problem. Simething on that circut was drawing enough power to burn the fuse, and instead of finding the problem, the previous owner installed a heavier fuse. I'm thinking that it's the resistor on the coil.
Any ideas?

Lettin' y'all know...
It turned out to be the keyswitch its self.
They're about $50 @ NAPA, for future reference...

Yep, pretty common problem on these trucks.

The headlight fuse also likes to overheat/melt the fuse block, particularly on the 4-headlight models.
