just wanted to say hi.. i just bought a one owner 1982 Luv diesel 5spd with sit down everyone 80,000 orginal miles and never in an accident.

i live in southeast texas, the truck has no real rust only one small dent on the bed the cab and doors are mint. I lucked out a friend lived next door to the owner that bought the truck new in 1983. He was only driving the truck to work that explains the super low miles. I plan on restoring the truck really just needs a seat from the seams comming apart and maybe carpet its just a little faded.. and i drove it all week to work and its getting about 42miles per gallon... I love this truck!!!

Welcome to the site. Congrats on a great buy, the truck sounds like an awesome diesel LUV. You gotta love that diesel power when you're getting 42 mpg. 80,000 miles is just breaking in on the diesel engine and you should have a good, reliable truck for a long time to come. If you have any diesel questions post them to the Diesel Forum, another LUV diesel owner is always great to have here. Good luck with the truck in the future.
