hi, i'm "where's all the luv at". been a member for a year and a half. there's a group of us that know the g180/200 engines like the back of our hands.

if you need any advice on power tuning or mods this is the group to ask. some members have done the 5spd conversion(i'm one of em)

i've personaly spent an easy$2000 on squeezing all the juice i could out of the 1.8. torn down the thing more time than i can count, if you're in need of advice, part numbers and sources of aftermarket parts this would be the group to ask.

as for the long timers, i'd appreciate keeping this thread alive for the sake of pooling a list of members that know about the 1.8 .

if you're a newbie.......feel free to pm me for info on the 1.8 , 5spd or related semi stock questions.

I'm pretty good with the stock 1.8 myself. Got both my LUV's purrin like kittens! And also successfully rebuilt 2 stock Hitachi LUV carbs!

I know it's hard to believe, but I've had no trouble rebuilding these stock carbs. In my opinion, they are quite an easy carb to work with!
