Hello. I got my 78 LUV from my Dad as my first car 4 years ago. The clutch petal broke off about two months afterwards and we had it welded. Sometime in 2003 it broke off again and couldn't be welded. Recently I found another 78 in the junk yard which I got the pettle assembly out of and got mine working again. However it won't pass smog (stupid CA laws) so for now I'm just dealing with rust issues. I just painted it flat black and i'm making accent pieces (grill, headlight bezels, etc.) gloss black. It's starting to look really good. Just introducing my truck. I'll post picts as soon as possible.

The new one that I got stickes out at a weird angle too. I'm just hopeing that it doesn't break if it does I might try to make a custom assembely that is stronger.
