This truck was purchased by my father in 78 been sitting for past 8 years in his driveway in SO CAL. I am now going to fully restore it. I had the engine rebuilt and the transmission. It seems the timing cover has some corrosion and I cannot use it anymore. The mechanic cannot find a replacement anywhere. Does anyone know of a site that sells them or am can they only be found in a junk yard?

The part that is corroded is the the piece where the hose connects to the cover. The mechanic said he can try to weld it?

Oh, dude! I just threw one in metal recycling this last weekend!

I am so sorry. I held on to it for months thinking someone was going to need it.
