my 14yo old son found a great deal on 1978 luv. We have a lot of clean up work to do. Sat in a barn for 8 years. But we knew when we bought it that I would run as long as starting fluid was being spray at the carb. We picked it up Friday morning. We have cleaned the old gas out of thew system, replaced the rusted up fuel pump, figured out what a ballast resister was and that ours was bad (thank you to another group of great Luv owners). Now we know some serious clean p has to occur. Not sure what over all we will do with this.

What a great project! I own a 78, and have spent a lot of time with my oldest daughter working on it. My dad always said if you want to keep a kid out of trouble, buy him or her an old car/truck to work on!
Good luck..
