Hi all. Had this about 2 months. Runs and drives well. Been steadliy working away on body and paint and electrical and creature comfort corrections. New steering wheel on order. Pertonix and hotter coil next. Designing a stereo setup. Bucket seats on deck, etc. etc.

Thank you for the welcome.

My background is in rebuilding air cooled VWs with a Jeep thrown in the mix. Just happened across this LUV and was in a position to get it so now I tinker.

What will eventually go under the hood....? 8O

The sheet metal was rotted out, I expect from the evap container in the bed. I cut out a square and riveted in a piece of a soffit vent that I coated with industrial enamel. My solution to a bad design, we do Gambler 500 style out here in OR!
