Greetings gents and ladies (if any?)

I've used posts from this site for years to diagnose problems with other peoples LUV - and finally, after chasing the holy grail of trucks for me (LUV 4x4) I finally got one after 25 years of searching.

It's a deep blue '80, VERY low miles (36k or so) that had a fresh engine rebuild 600 miles ago. Was a barn find by previous owner, 0 rust (can ya believe it??) except on the wheels themselves. Glass is perfect, and with that rebuilt motor it runs awesome. I picked it up today, or rather I should say paid for it today and pick it up next Saturday in a town I used to stomp around in my late teens - Chelan.

There'll be lots more from me over time, glad to be a part of something pretty cool!

Thanks!

Welcome here. If you have a running LUV that looks good then a fair price is what you think it is, some pay big bucks for junk. As far as ladies here, we somehow run them off.

Well, as far as the ladies thing - I was trying to cover my greeting 'bases' as some would say... don't want to offend any on my first day around the joint haha...

And - fair price... 1500 was what I paid - brand new tires, 300 miles on rebuilt engine. It had a bad seal or head gasket or some such thing and they just decided to rebuild it all. They went through the transmission and transfer case at the same time, freshening up what was needed. Other than interior and some paint fade this is literally like a brand new truck... And the lady who I bought it from even went so far as to find reproduction parts to replace door handles, interior exterior trim. its THAT nice :) I go pick it up Saturday, and will take pics then
