Hello there guys, introducing myself all the way from south Cali, San Diego. Just bought my Luv, costed me 200 and I had to tow it home. Looks like I'll need and engine rebuild, engine starts and all but apparently radiator broke and the engine created a loud nock, I turned it on for a couple seconds and that's not a nock that's fixed by stp lubricant. I am going to try to stay original as posible, I want fuel efficiency and reliability. The truck is a 4 speed and comes pretty much stock.

It would seem like it was rebuilt chassis and up around the late 90s, frame repainted and body straightened and that this person drove it only on Sundays to church. Here's the only picture I got for now, will update more tonight. Image

Welcome, This is the place to learn about your truck. There are a few other SoCal truck owners around too. 8)

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

First thing I did is buy a series 5 shop manual, you need them torque specs. Also yeah the camper is in great condition, there's minimal rust and chassis is clean, still fresh paint on it. I am going to remove the engine and get it ready for the donor engine, I will take some pics of the whole progress. Thanks guys. Also still looking for a radiator, looks like I'll have to go after market and fabricate new mounts.
