Just joined this page, great reading for sure

Looking to see if anyone on here knows anything about my old 76 LUV.

It was a V-8 conversion that was done before 1987 in California, As I understood it then (1990) it was one of only two that were Smog/Road legal in the state. It took me two years to get the smog plate installed inside the drivers side door jam. It got smog tested as a 1968 Camaro. Last I knew it was in Central California.

Any info would be sweet

Also looking for a 76 Fleet side already done, V-8 conversion

Interesting, my 72 was also a legitimate smog legal V8 Luv from central California. Mine was put together in 1988 and I do have the DMV sticker in the door jam also. Do you have a VIN number or any pics of your 76?

I don't I really wish I did to be honest with you, It was a purple pearl color the last I saw it. Before that it was a root beer brown with solid wheels, Muncie M22 rock crusher, heard it was put back to a Auto after.

The tell all would be it got smog tested as a 68 or 69 Camaro.

What year did you own it? I traded it in 1993 like dummy.

Dual headlights (4 total) and tail lights on the side of the bed would be 75-77.
