Hello everyone. I am Steven but Gumby is a old nickname for me.

I live in a little town outside of Winston Salem. I came across this Luv by accident. I seen a guy was wanting to trade a riding mower for a Chevy Luv and I had a extra mower that I was having to walk around every time I went into my building. I called him up and a few days later I owned a 79 Chevy Luv.

I drove the truck home that day but:

I had to replace the driver side caliper (stuck), brake line (yikes I drove it like this!?!?!), brakes, fuel pump (went out 2 days later), fuel line, fuel filter, rebuilt carb (hasn't ran right since..oops), I put 2 Nissan Hardbody Seats in it.


I still need to replace the rear brake cylinders but that's it mechanically. This winter I plan to start doing some body work on it.
