Dinner was good........

Thanks for the greetings, my luv is getting a small block, I think a 375 hp rear wheel (dyno 480) one from a customer. I have a nice mellow engine with turbo 400 but he needs work done and it's tempting. I have been going to the swapmeets and have found some real nice pieces to put the truck together. Only big exspense was the radiator, custom built by matson. Theirs some great finds to be had from folks that gave up on their project. We'll touch base on the parts cost as things come together. Super excited, as I have been patiently waiting to start work on the luv as the customer cars come first.

Thanks.

Welcome, I can't wait to see some pics of your 72. If you need anything specific this is the place to find it.

It's going gold. This build were going a bit funky with a '70s theme. Rake, fender flares, cyclone wheels, velvet diamond tuck interior. We are leaving out the wood tricks that were popular and adding some tastefull modern elements. Engine bay is nearly done, will be finished this weekend, it's a bit modern......

Fender flares are sweet but I can't find a cheap set for my truck, yours sounds like its gonna be awesome though, can't wait to see it.

I may keep the moulds and offer to make some for other luv owners. There going to be proper '70s style .Depends on the extra labor to keep them strait. Should be starting them in a month, itchin to get them goin.......

And Justin as the original poster can tell you you don't just strip the paint away. You have to be careful how close to the edges you get, then you have to neutralize the stripper them use metal prep. The clear I use won't stick to bare metal, that's why the primer I bet he uses has some self etching to it.

Is that bed bobbed or is it a funny angle on the picture?
