Although i have been hovering this forum since 2010 when i purchased my LUV truck Figured it is time to officially introduce my self on here. Im the proud owner of a 1980 Chevy LUV my plans for this truck is to have a very clean and simple street/track that runs low 6. in the 1/8 mile and still cruise around on the weekends with a/c. Almost 4 years into the project after many sleepless nights lost of hard earned cash and several cases of me losing my mind over this dang truck of what seems to be a never ending project i can say i am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just wanted to say hi to the LUVTruck Community and also Say thank you to everyone on here for all the very helpful info.

Im from Kingwood area not too far from Baytown. I usually go to HMP I never raced at Royal purple raceway but i might have to try that track out.

Yeah , you'll need to try out RPR and Lonestar in Sealy . I run 7.0 index at HMP and i also Bracket race @ RPR and LMP . You might consider bracket racing , good track prep and good people with wide open pits . Season opener is FEB 23-24 . Looks like it made a good pass . Might also consider H-town racing forum . Lots of guys from your side of town on there .

Yes that's what my intentions were when i got the truck was to build a reliable / consistent Bracket truck. I'm not a big fan of grudge racing I rather just Bracket race and have some fun........ Hope soon for me.
I have heard good stuff from both RPR and LMP. As soon as i get all the bugs worked out and dialed in i will have to make it out to both.
