Im Laine. I picked up my first Luv, its and 80. My brother 77 luver has been harping on me for awhile to get one. I bought my 80 with it partially dis assembled. So far my progress is slow and alil disheartening.

With a little assembly and the pump relay jumped she fired up. But im having trouble with the carb after we rebuilt it. But im going to swap to a Weber and header. It came with a 3inch body lift to put on but no instructions..... But I have to replace the cab floor at all four mounts before that. I got two beds and a third first gen bed on a luv frame trailer. So a few things on my list

Also...I've read on here that the fuel pump relay is powered by the voltage regulator. If my trick does everything but power the starter thru the relay fine does it still mean the vr is bad?
