I am also considering replacing the rear drum brakes for disc. Is this a difficult/expensive swap? and is it worth it for a daily driver vehicle?

Well i finally fueled up the LUV banana for the first time since i got the speedometer and odometer working. Problem is iam getting about 10 MPG. So now i am gonna have to really get into the stuff. I think i will get a card rebuild kit for the Hitachi i have on it... I know everyone says get the weber... but i have low budget to work with so i will do what i can to get the truck running smooth then someday might upgrade the carb etc... My question is what else would you suggest for increasing my MPG. Spark plugs, Wires, Cap, rotor, Air filter, Fuel Filters, carb rebuild, new float... Anything else?

So I have a fun problem. I still have 14 inch old tires that I aim to swap to 15 this week. Anyway, I got stuck in our 18 inches of snow and while I was digging the truck out I must have hit my fuel tank or a fuel line with the shovel. I didn't realize it until I was running around a bit later and noticed my fuel gauge was pegged at E. first thought was my gauges went out again but turns out there was a bit of a puddle of fuel so after I get home from this 48 hour shift I am going to see what I did and to from there.

Pinprick hole in my tank. Patched it, stripped, painted, and reinstalled with new fuel hoses and fuel filter. Also under coated the skid plate that protects the tank, after I stripped it and used some rust reformer stuff on it. Did new bolts to hold everything in place since the old wee rusty and I broke one and one was MiA already.
