Hey fellas, what's crack-a-lackin?? I'm new to the group & wanted to introduce myself. My name's Carl and I live in MA (where LUVs are scarce), originally from NC (where LUVs are plentiful). I've had 2 LUVs previously, an '81 and a '77. Today I bought an '80 4wd project, picked it up for $100. It's hideously rough but it's all there. Does anyone have a source for sheet metal parts?

Welcome. And the only source for these old trucks is junk yards and any truck being parted out. There are no remake parts available.

Plentiful in NC? Years ago my inlaws searched and searched for ones in Alabama for replacement fenders for mine and never found any. One year when we were down for Thanksgiving, I took the material and equipment and painted the ones they found for my 71 Valiant. Sadly, the rust has eaten up most of the LUV's here in the salt belt. Mine is only still on the road due to major efforts. It may have still been the 80's when I bought fiberglass fenders from JC Whitney.
