Over the past few months I have been beginning the process of putting the truck back together. For around two years, the funds just weren't there and when it comes to allocating funds, family is first. I am trying to do everything as cheaply as possible and sticking to stock. My hope is to have it up and running by the end of the year. I am changing the color from factory red to white. Here are some of the pics. Most of my earlier pics somehow got deleted in my files. :(

It has been a busy morning. Yesterday I built a portable "gallows" (as my daughter called it) in order to use a chain hoist to put the cab back onto the frame. This morning, and as usual all alone, I succeeded in getting it back on. Well, at least the cat watched my every move - he is under the truck in pictures 3 and 4. To be fair, I have one son at a beachhouse in Rockport and the other is at a condo in Galveston. Now I can get after the re-assembly of the rest of the truck. I obviously need to make a torsion bar ajustment since there is a noticeable lean now. I am just glad that it is going back together. I considered using the chrome Nissan pickup wheels that are on it now, but I have decided to go to the stock wheels with NOS hubcaps.

Looking great. You have put in alot of time just under the hood alone. The Firewall, backside of fenders and inner fenders look as though they are brand new. The engine and the rest looks great as well. Now be honest, is that all your work or did the cat jump in and help out?

I am betting the cat helped a bit.. That is looking great. I didn't kow under the hood could look that good. Mine has always been just a bit less pristine that that..

Thanks. The work was tedious, but it is paying off. The cat is loyal when it comes to keeping me company.

Slowly but surely the truck is closer to being finished.

If you hadn't posted all those pictures, I'd assume you just built a brand new truck.
