Hi all! Over the past weekend drove from Orange County So Cal, up to Delano, past Bakersfield. My friend was meeting a shipping company to send some trucks back to OC. He had found an old man who was moving to the Philippines, (Old Hickish Military guy) with 4 Luvs, so after inspecting, them he said I'll take them all. Old guy said it would be a serious help since hes trying to clear his property of junk before he can move. The trucks all run fine, he had bought the little things through the years, ending in 1980. He looked over my friends Black Luv and gave it a look through on the outside. He likes that the cab was extended 4-5 inches, alloted for better seating. He liked the CCW Classics and the big brakes. after pulling the small handle under the dash for the front release, he showed him that the front lifts completely forward, 1 pieced. I didn't even know this, cause I didn't pay attention to this little truck before. He revealed an LS1, and the old man couldn't make heads or tails of it. well anyways, upon leaving he let the old guy listen to it, and driving away got a thumbs up.
Anyways, fastforward, and I am like ok, now that Ive seen what a stock Luv is and your luv. I WANT ONE. lol. He let me drive one of the stock automatic ones around in a circle and such, and I was like I LOVEEE ITTT! I want a stock oneeee! But it is terribly slow

but in a coool way! lol.
He laughed, so we got home later at night, and he got his bags and I dropped him off at LAX since he is leaving to build a viper and corvette in Qatar... so I will not see him for a long long time

damn it...
Anyways he let me that night drive a luv with a 350, and its just perfect!
I came to my grand fathers house and was like, Grandpa are you old enough to know what a Chevy Luv is? He is like sure, its that yellow truck over there, and I didn't catch wind of it, I was like well grandpa its a small truck, and is pretty unique looking, he reached over and turned my head. He was like you want it? Its been sitting there since near new, bought it to releave my 72 pickup of daily duty. Drove it for a while for groceries and church, but never liked it, but thought I would save it anyways since I had just bought it new, in 1980. Well, long story short, its been sitting. preserved. And its mine come the next weekend

I am feeling a v8...low stance...minor tint, decent stereo for cruising the beach, woodgrand grand steering wheel, spray in bed liner, my fishing poles and a surf board

Im happy!
