Just to say Hi. Had a '72 Luv/Mikado given to me last week. Don't know much about them. It has been sitting up a lot, but is in pretty good shape for its age. I think it may have only about 31K orig miles on it, but history is a little sketchy at this point. How hard are they to get parts for, or find parts to substitute with? Seems pretty much stock. Does need a rebuild on the master clutch cylinder and Carb. Any advise from out there?

Welcome to the site.
You will probably need to drop out the gas tank and have it cleaned out.
There are not too many 72's around any more. Take care of it.

How about some pics for us to look at?

There was an offenhauzer intake for that model pretty cheap on ebay recently...you might want to check if it's still there...since they don't make them any more.

And it's best to just replace the clutch master cylinder...they really aren't too rebuildable.

Great to have you here...and congrats on getting a great little truck.

Sorry, no pics yet. I still haven't gotten it off the trailer. Too much to do and I really need to fix the clutch first. Are clutch cylinder rebuild kits expensive for these things (I think it is the upper cylinder)? I'll work in getting the pics in the next week or two.
