thanks
i paid $500
and put in close to $1000 already 8O
and I far from over.
Not a lot of rust on this one, mostly in the bed, but no holes from rust.
Still has the original engine.
I would really like to restore it original. But we will see. Cost a lot of money to do this stuff and I dont have a whole lot of room around here.

Well Don't Let It Discourage You, It Will Be More Then Worth It In The End. Sometimes It Seems It Will Never Come But When It Does....It Is one Of The Most Self Satisfying Feelings You Can Ever Have By Building Something From The Ground Up. I Spent 2 Years On My Car and I Currently Have About 6 Months In My Car...Most Of That Was Spent In Research and Gathering Parts....Porb Only Have About A Month Of Hard Work In It But Hey It Will Get There Some Day.

yeah, I just dont have the room here to tear this thing apart right now.
Seats and a carpet kit can go in for now, those are easy to take back out later.

I am dying to restore it though. Im really worried about the RUST getting worse in the mean time. But Rust is by far the hardest part and most expensive of a restore correct?

I did buy some por15. Think I will just do the bed for now. The floors are actually in really good shape.

Also added some new weather stripping. But I can still see space between the door and the cab.

I luv working on this thing.

I have a pair that is similiar but not chrome. Check out the pic on my progress page. I would sell one or both.

But the reason I'm getting rid of these mirrors is because I think the ones that came on my '82 look much nicer. In fact there is one on ebay right now. Perhaps this is another option for you. Of course you'll have to fill a couple holes.

Good luck,
Eric Q.
