Thought I'd jump in here and say what's up....
I've been an "import guy" for the past 8 years or so.... Decided to change things up a bit and get a dirtbike that I've always wanted. Picked up a 2005 CRF230 for a pretty good price. However, I had nothing to haul it with so I jumped on Craigslist to find me a beater pickup.
Low and behold.... 1980 Chevy Luv 4WD for $400! I've never owned a vehicle older than me, a 4WD, or something non-EFI. So this should be new (old rather) and interesting. MUCH easier to work on this, that's for sure.
Not sure on the milage of the truck, but it had a rebuild at one point. Runs pretty strong and seemed to be WELL worth the money. I'll do a few things here and there to make it as nice as I can.
We had a little fun over the weekend w/ a can a paint laying around. Lowered the front about 1.5" I might put it back up a bit though considering it is 4WD.
I was either going to paint it urban camo (black/white/gray) or flat black... I was set on the camo for a while, but think I might end up just doing it the flat black.
