Hello, from the great state of Washington. Just got a 1979 Red Mikado.

Was surprised to find one, hadn't seen a Luv on the road in years. Thought they had all been absorbed into the energy credit scam.

Runs, drives, stops, and no dents, so am going to fix up a little. Looks like a nice little forum here, have already made a connection for a part I need.

Arty

Hey arty youll find that you'll see luv trucks all over the place now that you own one! I see on average, one per day. I love it! So do you have any mods to your truck? is it a 4x4? What over all condition is it? And you got it from where? Glad to hear your from my neck of the woods!
Christopher

Hi guys. No mods yet. Although I did pose a question in another forum about "hopping up a 1.8". I haven't heard the earth shaking with laughter yet. The truck is pretty straight. No real dents to speak of. It was sort of a "friend of a friend" deal. There are about three rust spots on each side--around the front markers, in front of the doors where the Luv emblem goes, and on the back fenders where the Mikado emblem was. And the bed is problematic. I've stabilized most of the rust. The goal is to get it smoothed and prepped pretty quick, get it in some primer. My daughter wants it painted in flames with a wing on the top. Gotta "luv" kids.
