hey guys i'm new to the sight. the last car i built was a 70 nova. i'm not an expert but had good help. as repayment of a debt i recd' a 73 luv, a vortec 5.7, and a "good luck man". i know an excellent fabricator who will help with the mods. i'm coverting the engine back to a carb and just want to keep it simple. my grandfather passed this april, he had spent 32years as a gm employee. he would love that i'm doing this and so ido it with much pride. want to keep it street legal but race car power is a must. any replies appreciated.

You'll like the vortec power . Convert to a carb and put an lt-4 hotcam and roller lifters in it . Pretty good mix of stock and V-8 luvs here . Everyone gets along good and always willing to lend a hand . Welcome to the site. Pics are always welcome :wink:

thanks everyone. i'm taking my before pics tomorrow and i'll post em. i've got the frame off gonna blast it clean. i was surprised very beefy 6 crossmembers! LIKE YOU GUYS DIDNT KNOW! mine wasnt a stepside but it is nowi've got the narrow bed and fiberglass fenderwells that bolt on with lots of room for tires. i've got the vision of the finished product in my head and its pretty sick! :twisted: the v-8 conversion on this little truck makes me laugh its really funny i think :lol:
