hey everyone, great to finally be part of luvtruck.com.
first off I have always wanted a luv since I was a pre-teen, (now 27)
I got my wish about 3 years ago. I bought 2 luv's a '75 and a '72. the 72 was mostly a parts truck. The 75 I plan on doing the traditional 350/350 swap into it. I have the engine sitting on the garage floor, waiting for the rain to ever stop, (it's Oregon after all) It is stock for time being, once I do get it installed I plan to make it a "mild" 350. Just enough to smoke the tires and scare old lady's. My overall envision for this truck is to make it a tribute to Dale Earnhardt sr.
Since my initial purchase, the 72 ended up being turned into a truck bed trailer, the rest junked. I bought another 75 to use the parts out of. It had a buick 3.8 with a bad trans. I replaced the trans. and drove it a little, & decided it needed more power!!, sold that truck, kept the engine/trans. so it is sitting as well. (needs rebuilt) Then I bought a full size chevy 1/2 ton for the 350/th350 (for the first 75) and sold that truck as well.

So that brings me to today. last week I fullfilled another dream, and I bought a 79 4x4. It does'nt have an engine, but I hope I can use the original out of my 75. I could'nt turn down a 4x4 for $150 that the body is in really good shape, considering it is a wheeler'. It has a 3in body lift 31" swampers, lengthend shackles, I think the bars are cranked up as well. I think it looks mean as heck. It's black on black. I hope to get it running soon so I can go play in the mud!! :D

thanks Doug

Thanks, I will get some pictures on here when I can get the 75 out of the garage. I seem to have more projects than I have time for. I also have a 77 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 that I have rebuilt from the frame up (mudder)
then I also have a '57 chevy 4x4 big back window. that my dad & I want to do a mild restoration on. I just take one at a time.
