Just joined sat. April 22,06. I have a 72 Luv stepside with a 355 sbc,11.1 comp.,turbo 350,9" ford,corvette alum.heads and other goodies. I have been watching the site for two years and I am very impressed with you all,You all are very sharp. My Luv is still a work in progress, and now I'm having a problem with the electrical,I hope someone can help. Here's my problem; I had a Mallary Hyfire 3 ignition that I took off when I changed to the corvette heads and put on a MSD 6. I can't current to the dist.. What wires from the ignition switch go to the coil. HELP!! I'll send pics when I learn how to work this computer(smile).[/i][/b]

Welcome to the site. If you could post the wiring diagram I would be able to help you with the hook up. There may be someone here who is running a 6 box and be able to help you without a diagram.

I would go here on the MSD site and pick the diagram that matches your wire colors/ignition style.

They don't list one specifically for the hyfire but they do have two at the bottom for Mallory.

Thanks for the welcome and advise. Would have answered sooner but our computer was on the blink for a few days. I think I might have it now looking at the MSN diagram and LUV wiring diagram I think I see where my mistake is. Anyway,I'll let you know in a few days. Gotta work this weekend and won't have time to look at the LUV.
