Hey I just scored a complete engine and trans from a local wrecking yard at 1/2 price, kind of new to the diesel portion of the luvs, I hot it out of a 82 luv pup? I was worndering where can I find a book on the diesel engine's I need the wiring diagrams and if anyone know's where can i get the sensor that sits on top of the injection pump near the linkage, I have the wire harness out of the 82 but it is going in a 79 luv and need to make my own harness, any help would be great thanks

Do a search on EbayMotors for "Chevy LUV" and "Chevrolet LUV" and usually you will see an 81 or 82 shop manual up for auction. There is currently a 1982 LUV Series 12 shop manual on right now and I know it covers the diesel engine. I forgot to say I own this same exact shop manual and it will show you everything needed to work on the diesel. The seller is located in Kentucky and their price is reasonable.
