What are the chances theat the engine will bolt up to the Isuzu frame? I know that it's the same 2.2 used in the two different years and the trucks are the same. I know everything that has to do with the diesel has to be swapped.
My 87 1.9L gas motor needs an overhaul and I just scored an 82 deisel Luv that was parked a few years ago after not starting one cold morning. I guess the guy gave up on it.

Anybody ever do the swap?

You will need to change the gearbox and some of the wiring too. Im after a minted 1988 KB26 that is petrol but lm a DIESEL man so l will be doing the swap too.
