anyone know about these engines? mostly wanting to know about the 2.3 turbo.

A Mitsubishi 2.3 liter turbo diesel motor was available in 1983-1986 Mitsubishi pickups, 1983-1986 Dodge D-50/Ram 50 pickups, and 1985-1987 Ford Ranger pickups. The motor has awesome horsepower with 90 HP, compared to a LUV/PUP diesel with 60 HP. I am not 100% sure, but I think that Mitsubishi had a cast aluminum head, while a LUV/PUP has a cast iron head. With the Mitsubishi, the head gaskets probably would blow since aluminum can't handle the immense heat a diesel puts out. But I have never driven a truck with the 2.3 liter turbo diesel, so they may be better than what I think now.
