Hello,

I am a newbie to Luv, but not to diesels having had VW's and Mercedes's.

Got a new-to-me '82. Less than 50K and in great original condition. It just has no get up and go. Fuel filter has been changed. Diesel looks good. Almost no blow by at all. Any ideas on where to start? (I was thinking of replacing the fuel lines as it might be air.)

Thank you guys in advance for any help.

Michael

Welcome to the site, Michael. Funny, you're the second new diesel owner in a couple of days. They don't pop in very often here. Please take a look at the LONG discussion with dakotabound, because there's a lot of info there.

I'll write more about the low power when I have more time.

Jack

Yes, with that kind of mileage, it's not likely to be mechanical. Probably a brittle, cracked fuel line.

Keep us updated with what you find.

Jack
