I can't remember if I did anything to the timing...it's been a year and a half so I cant remember much. But it may have. Today I was working on it and found the throtle wasnt hooked up correctly. Now thats fixed but we had it running on Either. bad idea i know. but it wouldn't turn off. Im guessing problem with throtle. But thats fixed. If it was running for say 15 sec would that tell me if the timing was off or just mess stuff up?
Please go back and RE-read my last post if you want help. You took the head off, that means the timing belt came off. I'm TRYING to tell you, that's probably where your problem is. It's behaving exactly as expected when one of the pulleys is off by a tooth or two.
And listen carefully to Luvrv8, he's telling you the facts--you should not run it on ether. If you KNOW it's a bad idea, but you insist on running it on ether, I have to wonder if you really want this fixed.
He's also saying the same thing I am--when he says your timing is off, he's talking about the timing belt installation being incorrect. That's where you need to start looking.
