Your truck looks great! Obviously the diesel isn't stock so getting parts for it would be dependant on the donor.

What parts are you looking for?

How cool. The truck looks good in silver/charcoal.

im thinking about sanding it down, painting it a flat olive drab green (military green) on the outside. painting the inside flat Kahki. i think it would look good like that. with black wheels. what do you guys think?

Yours can have a diesel, you just have to do it like he did. Buy a diesel. Install it. He added the turbo, too.

Exactly. There were no other vehicles in the US that used this engine. It appears to be a 1981, since that's the only year that had a thermostat cover like the one pictured.

That thermostat housing is '81 only? I thought I had '82 running gear but my thermostat housing looks like that. How embarrassing that I don't even know the year of my engine.

It's possible it was a mid-year swap. I've seen them on '81 models, but I have not seen them on any '82 models. There were some parts that changed mid-year, and since this one doesn't affect other parts, it may be one of them.

Hey, LOWLUV1363--
What radiator are you using? That's obviously not the factory radiator...
