I'm selling my 1982 diesel luv...sadly... It's 2 wheel drive. It's the 2.2 4 cyl. motor. It doesn't have any rust. I replaced a door and 2 fenders that were rusted out. This is pretty rare to find a luv that isn't a ball of rust. I bought it about 5 months ago, it ran when i got it. It had an oil leak out the rear main seal and the motor wasn't getting as much power as it should. So i pulled the motor, the guy i got it from said it was the injectors. So i replaced the rear main seal, oil pan gasket, and put a whole new head set on, with the head gasket. I had the head taken and machined and checked for cracks, it's like a brand new head now (that was the reason for loss of power) I also put in a new battery. I dropped the motor back in and can only start it on starting fluid. But i'm not using anymore of that becuase i don't want to break anything. I'm not sure whats wrong. I'm thinking it was a fuel pump relay so i ordered another one, but it's looking like i might need a fuse box. You can order that online, find a parts truck on here, or go to a junk yard. It shouldn't be too hard, i would do it but i just don't have time with school and everything else. It's got a flat bed on it too. I'm pretty sure that covers just about any question anyone could have but if you come up with one feel free to ask me. If your looking for parts i have everything you could need besides a regular bed. I'd prefer to sell it whole though, but whatever works

Hate to hear you're throwing in the towel. I doubt it needs a fuse box--I've never heard of that being the reason one won't start. There is no fuel pump relay, it's all mechanical. Maybe a fuel cutoff solenoid? But the starting problem is probably a bad electrical connection somewhere.

You should list it at IsuzuPup.com, too. With an asking price, preferably.

whatever relay that it has broke. and i ordered a new one, it broke in the hole so i can't but the new relay in, thats the only reason why i think it needs that. I hate to throw in the towel as well but i honestly have no clue what to do next. And no one that has looked at it knows either, i'm sure it's just a wire somewhere but i don't know where to even start looking. I'm just a high school girl that has never done anything like this before, i've never pulled a motor.

That's your fuel cutoff solenoid. I've never had mine out, so I don't know what to tell you. You could check at IsuzuPup.com, somebody would know how to get it out.

It's on the injection pump, with electrical wires connected. Here's a photo of the pump. Keep in mind, you won't see it from this side, because this side is against the block. But it clearly shows the fuel cutoff solenoid in the rear of the pump, just above where the four fuel lines connect.

Is that the part that "broke off in the hole"? You mentioned a relay, but there's no relay in a hole anywhere. I thought it might be the cutoff solenoid that you were having trouble with.

Wow, the fuse box is on the left side (driver's side). There are two relays with a metal shroud around them. One is the charge warning relay and I think the other is the starter relay (it won't even turn over without it).
